Wheelchair Ceremony

This ceremony was held in the town of Soavinandriana. The event was held to comemorate the gift of ten wheelchairs to crippled people in the area.

They were hard up for entertainment so they had Elder Bird give a speech with the aid of interpreter Njara.

The wheelchair recipients and their families are gathered under the canopy. The crowd gathered behind to see what the celebration was all about. They are always up for a celebration in these rural towns. A nice banquet followed.
