Visit To The Lemur Park

This is our first successful photos of the elusive Ring Tailed Lemur. This one had no problems with our being near and seemed to like having his picture taken.
The Ring Tail has exactly 14 white rings and 14 black rings from birth through adulthood. It never varies.
There is a rule at the park, you cannot get any closer than one meter to a Lemur. However, there is nothing that says they can't molest you.

Dr. Scott Smith went with us to the park. He really enjoyed the company of these friendly little Lemurs. He is an Ophthalmologist and came here as a part of our vision project to provide some training and share his skills with the local eye doctors. We really enjoyed the week he was with us and so did the doctors.

Interesting animals -- thanks for the post. Susan, you look sooo good, I know you are loving your mission. In fact, both of you are looking happier than I've ever seen you.
We Love You!!

Susan and Bob, we also loved looking at the Lemurs, they look so soft, but are they? I would want to grab hold of that tail, and feel it, plus rub behind their ears. Anyway what fun. We don't have the rarities in animals here. But come Spring I'll be watching for the migration of unusual birds. Sure do love you both, and keep up the great posts!

We love reading your adventures as you serve the Lord. The Lemurs look cute and so do all of the children that followed you around as you made visits to their village. You are truely in the Lord's footpath as you serve these people spiritually and physically. We are glad that you are doing your blog so that we can gain a better appreciation for the people in other parts of the world. The Lord loves all of His children.
