The Miracle in Ampitatafika - Ambohibary

This was our special Christmas gift this year. It is the sight that greeted us as we came to the turn-over ceremony on December the 22nd. Thanks to our friends back home, the Peterson's and their friends, The LDS Humanitarian Aid Fund, Hermann the Contractor and the hard work of these poor farm people, this school was transformed into a much nicer, better and safer place of learning for the kids. Truly a gift from God.
After the ceremony we are all wearing our new western hats that were presented as a gift from the teachers and parents at the school. We think the big Vazah (white guy) in the middle looks like John Wayne. What do you think??

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! The Church is growing in many different ways and it is because of people like you who leave home and country to serve in the out posts of the world. You are a light that shineth from the mountain top. You are those that the scripture talks about who publisheth peace.

What an amazing project this is. You can tell the joy in your hearts by just looking at what was done, and seeing in your faces the happiness and light that this has brought to this small village. Your work is priceless, and your efforts are rewarded by gratitude! Your doing a wonderful work in the Lord's vineyard. Keep it up!

Wow Birds!! This is an amazing project. Thank you for spearheading it for those children. It is fun to see what things are like in Madagascar. Our grandson's farewell is Sunday and he goes into the MTC on the 20th. I am thinking he will miss you as he stays there for 8 weeks to learn the language. Thanks for sharing.
Love, Linda
