Susan, being a birder of sorts, is enjoying the frendship of this pet Martin on loan from a village boy.
Bob and friends are posing with the pet Martin. A little boy on the left is the proud owner. This is the village where we were only the second white people they could remember visiting them.

ALOHA! Looks like a Minah bird? Although I'm more excited about seeing the other Birds! This is so awesome! I feel like Alma when he ran into the Sons of Mosiah and did rejoice exceedingly! What joy fills my heart to first find you then to find you serving the Lord. You are such a wonderful example. My wife Connie and I are looking forward to our time to serve together. Wow! 21 years, yup, lots have happened. So much, but I just wanted to share how I got here.
I found Carlene on Facebook through the Croxford girls Jennie, Jami, and Julie who were found through Anna Morrison, who was my(our) last baptism (Big and little Terry and Cindy).
I will write more later, I could write tons and tons more, but I didn't want to max out your site capacity. I did want to share my love and appreciation for all you did for me and all the other missionaries that served in the ward. Thanks especially for this wonderful example now. Love you so much. Hey Mom! I was showing this picture to people at work, and they can't believe you have a bird sitting on your finger! We can't get the pidgeons to do that around here! LOL
Wow, you are truly the Bird Folk now. I love you two and am continuously thinking of the great work you are doing! You are bringing many blessings to all of those small villages... Love you!Carlene
